Leopard in Aberdare ranges

We went up as a random plot to Aberdare ranges over some weekend with the guys at the Ark. We were camping, it was a big mistake, only because of the temperature drop. When we got there it was like 8 degrees. So in the evening we were inches away from the camp fire, just shy of juggling the coal to keep warm. So when it got time to sleep, we setup the tents, it was zoo cold!

At some point in the middle of the night I went to take a leak, all I saw while shining the torch into the darkness, was green eyes.  I didn’t sleep much there after. Anyway the next day during the game drive in the park, we stumbled upon this beauty. In all my game drives and so on, I have never seen a leopard on the ground as opposed to on the trees. It was great to take this. Enjoy.

Great shot of the Leopard ‘posing’ (staring straight at the camera)

Thanks Paul, I was really lucky to get a leopard out in the open and best of all, looking straight at the camera.

  4. Nice. We need to go on a photo taking trip sometime. I got me a D3200 ;-)
